The product takes 4 -14 days to work at its best and can have a gradual onset. The result is weaker facial muscles that mean you can't wrinkle those areas you wanted to be smooth. Over time if the wrinkle is not allowed to return, the collagen will improve, the lines will soften and the area will look smoother.
How long does the wrinkle reduction treatment last ?
The length of time the treatment lasts is very individual and depends on a number of factors but in general the first treatment usually lasts about three months. The second treatment may last longer, about 3- 5 months.
In cases where there are very deep wrinkles or damaged collagen fibres, a reduction in the wrinkle should be expected rather than a total wrinkle removal . In this situation it is possible to combine the anti wrinkle treatment, botulinum toxin, with a suitable injectable filler. This can be done at the same visit.
SIDE EFFECTS
Wrinkle reduction treatments have been around for over 20 years, have very few side effects and are very safe. The results last about 3-5 months and repeat wrinkle reduction treatments will be required.
We do not inject women who are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breast feeding.
Very few people get bruising, but it is a risk with any injection. If bruising does occur it is usually very mild, can be covered with makeup and does not last more than a few days. A few people do get a headache after anti wrinkle injections and in a few very rare cases the wrinkle reduction treatments fails to work as some people have made antibodies to the substance prior to their treatment.
There is generally no recovery time required for wrinkle reduction treatments . Following lip and facial enhancement treatments, redness and swelling may last for 24 hours after treatment. Some clients may experience swelling and bruising for around 7 days after dermal filler injections, particularly under the eyes and around the mouth.
Is the procedure painful?
After a slight sting for a few seconds, it is usually painless and there should be no ongoing numbness or redness. A topical anaesthetic and pre treatment ice pack may be applied to make you more comfortable. Please ask if you would like to discuss this option. Most people report minimal pain during or after their treatment.
Preparation for the procedure:

- on any blood thinners such as aspirin and anti inflammatories, warfarin etc.
- pregnant or breast feeding
- have any problems with anaesthetics, including local and topical anaesthetics
- taking fish or krill oils or any over the counter supplements
- have any medical issues or conditions
- are prone to fainting.

Post procedure instructions
Following your wrinkle reduction treatments, you should not rub or wash your face for the remainder of that day. You may not lie down for four hours. Do not undertake any strenuous exercise or get excessively hot in showers, saunas or spas for 12 hours. This is so the toxin remains where it was injected and does not spread into other areas and perhaps cause drooping eyelids or other problems.
Following lip and facial enhancement treatments, you should drink plenty of water for the first 48 hours and ensure you remain well hydrated. Do not have fillers if you have an important function or occasion within two weeks after the proposed treatment date.
Some things may reduce the time your wrinkle reduction treatments will last. These include high levels of physical activity, sun exposure, smoking, stress and weight loss.
PRICES FOR WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENTS
Below is an estimate of what you may expect to pay, per area for wrinkle reduction treatments based on our Clinic's experience. The amount can vary based on your face shape and musculature. Usually males need higher doses than females.
-The Crows Feet (beside your eyes) - this usually costs between $50 - $150.00 per eye.
- A Lateral brow lift is usually done in combination with the crows feet. If requested as a stand alone treatment it is $100 for both eyes.
-The Upper Lip, Lip flip / smokers lines - this usually costs $50.00- $75.00, lower lip $40-$50.00 In combination with other treatments.
-The Bunny Lines (nose) - this usually costs $50 - $70.00
-The Forehead- this usually costs between $50 - $150.00
-Drooping Mouth Corners - this usually costs $50.00 - $60.00
- Chin - for dimpling and the line above the chin (mental crease), this usually costs $50 - 75.00
-The Glabella (frown lines) - this usually costs $150.00 - $250.00
-Platysmal Bands (neck bands) - this usually costs about $75.00 per band.
Review is often required two weeks after bands are treated as more bands may appear
-Masseter injecting - for tooth grinding and face shaping. Most masseter treatments cost $200 - $500. You will require a review at one month.
-Hyperhidrosis - for overactive sweat glands in the armpits and for facial sweating. The costs need to be assessed on an individual basis but arm pit treatment for both is around $800-$1000.00, and around $500-$800 for facial sweating.

- 1 ml of product used in lips and superficial lines starts at $750.00 including a dental block or topical local anaesthetic, the product and the application.
- 1 ml of product for deeper lines and sculpting ranges from $750.00 - $850.00 per ml.
The cost depends on which product is required, and this is based on the client's age, filler position, skin condition, loss of volume and depth of lines.
